• Brian sings a gorgeous rendition of Shakespeare’s Sonnet 29, music by Georgia Stitt, on Georgia’s album MY LIFELONG LOVE, to be released on November 29.
• Brian just recorded composer Adam Gwon’s “Think of the Moon” on an album called The Broadway Lullaby Project, featuring a collection of original lullabies to benefit breast cancer charities. Stay tuned for more information on other artists involved and release date.
• Brian sings the title track (by Richard Thompson) with Anastasia Barzee on her newly released album THE DIMMING OF THE DAY. Here’s what people are saying about their duet:
Jack Goodstein, BlogCritics.org:
“Of course there are those songs that stand out, such as Barzee’s duet with Brian d’Arcy James, with whom she co-starred in White Christmas, on the album’s title song. Their voices on Thompson’s “The Dimming of the Day” echo with some very nice country harmonies; they have a blend that even Linda and Richard Thompson might envy.” Read more»
And from Wildysworld music blog:
“Richard Thompson’s “The Dimming Of The Day” gets the royal treatment, with Brian d’Arcy James sitting in on the duet. Barzee and James, who starred together in White Christmas, share a beautiful chemistry in the blending of their voices here.” Read more»

"Me and my dear friend and producer P. J. Hanke at Firehouse Recording Studios, Pasadena, California.”
“Recording this album was a dream come true. A labor of love, working with friends, classic tunes and some of my original music… one of the most gratifying creative experiences of my career.”

Sweet Smell of Success
“Sweet Smell was a huge break for me. Sidney Falco was an incredible character to play. Marvin Hamlisch, Craig Carnelia and John Guare, all brilliant, outdid themselves with their work on this show. Such a thrill.”

Irving Berlin’s White Christmas
“While the album for White Christmas was recorded in NYC, we did some promo records for the Christmas parade in the LA production in 2007. It was an extraordinary experience recording in the “House that Nat built” as Nat King Cole recorded most of his albums there, along with many Frank Sinatra albums. Fun fact about the Capitol Records Tower: The blinking light spells out “Hollywood” in Morse code and has since it was built in 1956.”

The Wild Party
“What an incredible show and album. I love this score and the album, produced by composer Andrew Lippa, is just as alive as the production was.”

“Adam Guettel = genius. Fun fact about the song “Is That Remarkable?”: Unbeknownst to Adam, he included my hometown of Saginaw in the lyric… I figured that was a good omen.”
